• Many Call-A-Thons have been held throughout the state in January through March.  Several locals hold the Call-A-Thons to make personal contacts to recruit area farmers as Corn Grower Members

• On Wednesday, December 13, 2006 President Steve Ebke presented Tom Osborne with the Golden Ear Award for his contributions to agriculture, the corn industry, and NeCGA at the 2006 Nebraska Ag Classic in Kearney.

• Husker Harvest Days was held September 12th-14th in Grand Island.  The Indy Racing League Ethanol Car was on display as well as a replica of the 1933 gas station located in Lincoln Nebraska which sold ethanol gas.

• On Wednesday, August 30th NeCGA members helped by staffing the Beef Pit at the Nebraska State Fair.
