January 10, 2012 – Keith Glewen has been chosen to receive the 2011 Golden Ear Award from the Nebraska Corn Growers Association. He received his award January 10 at the NeCGA Annual Meeting. The Golden Ear Award is presented annually by NeCGA to recognize and appreciate an individual’s contribution to agriculture.

Keith Glewen is an Extension Educator for the University of Nebraska - Lincoln and is located at the University of Nebraska Agricultural Research and Development Center near Mead, Nebraska. A native of Wisconsin, Mr. Glewen received his B.S. degree at the University of Wisconsin - Platteville in Crop and Soil Science and M.S. degree from the University of Nebraska in Agronomy. His main area of program focus is row crop production, natural resources and environmental management. As an agronomist he has achieved success in developing field and classroom training programs for industry professionals and growers held annually across the state of Nebraska. Mr. Glewen is registered with the American Society of Agronomy as a Certified Professional Agronomist. He is also a member of the Nebraska Corn Growers Association and the Nebraska Soybean Association.
