January 10, 2012 – The Nebraska Corn Growers Association elected officers and recognized top recruiters and local corn grower associations for their work in 2011 at their Annual Meeting on January 10 in Kearney.
The Top Recruiters for the NeCGA in 2011 were:
Guy Mills from Custer County corn growers who recruited 53 new members
Jason Feala from Colfax/ Dodge corn growers who recruited 13 new members
Curtis Rohrich from Buffalo/Hall corn growers who recruited 18 new members
Chuck Emanuel from Colfax/Dodge corn growers who recruited 8 new members
Peter Cunningham from Custer County corn growers who recruited 8 new members
The Custer County corn growers received an award for having the largest numeric increase in members in 2011 with 64 new members. Also, the Polk/Butler corn growers received an award for having the largest percentage increase with a 48% increase in members in 2011.
Two new At-Large Directors for NeCGA were elected at the Annual Meeting. Chuck Emanuel from North Bend and Lynn Chrisp from Kenesaw are the two new At-Large Directors for NeCGA. Also, Elgin Bergt from Schuyler was appointed as an ex-officio member of the NeCGA board.
Officers for the Nebraska Corn Growers Association were also elected at the Annual Meeting. The new officers are:
President: Carl Sousek of Prague
Vice President: Joel Grams of Minden
Secretary: Rick Gruber of Benedict
Treasurer: Elgin Bergt of Schuyler
